Welcome to RSFF4

September 13th — 2025
THE EGYPTIAN THEATRE

PRESENTED BY

Topcat Management

CO-PRESENTED BY

Sogbots and The American Cinematheque at the historic Egyptian Theatre

Hi there!

Welcome to RSFF4. We’re so glad you could join us this year. If this is your first time, thank you for becoming part of a vibrant and growing community of LA’s finest short filmmakers. If you’ve been with us before, we’re excited to have you back.

RSFF is an entirely homegrown festival that emphasizes the importance of a shared experience for the filmmakers we invite to participate each year. It was born of a desire to connect more meaningfully with our filmmaking community and to build bridges and relationships that go beyond our work. Like the industry at large, we succeed through collective effort. We are nothing without our team, our filmmakers, and every community member who buys a ticket and shows up.

As we enter our fourth year, we invite you to take stock of where we are and where we are headed. The pressures and uncertainties of our work in the film world can feel overwhelming, but they should not stop us from celebrating moments like this. The films you see today were created by talented, hard-working, and persistent artists who, despite any and all of the challenges we face today, decided to make something unique and share it with the rest of us.

Let the work you see tonight inspire you. Hold onto the belief that something homegrown is still possible, and use that inspiration to bring your own work into the world. People want to see it. The proof is in this room.

Thank you for being a part of it.

Love,

The RSFF Team
